Harford County Bar Foundation (HCBF) offers unpaid internships to law students, undergraduate students, and high school seniors to work in its various legal clinics as well as our other non-legal services programs, such as communications and development. The internships present an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local legal community in Harford and Cecil Counties. HCBF posts and begins reviewing applications for internships two times a year:

• Summer Internship applications: Closed

• Fall Internship applications: Closed

• Winter Internship applications: Open

• Spring Internship applications: Closed

In general, a legal internship may include the following activities:

• Interview clients telephonically and in-person to collect factual information related to their case

• Input case-related information into client database 

• Ensure copies of all relevant documentation are routed to the client’s case file

• Provide assistance at off-site clinics and seminars 

• Assist in the facilitation of various fundraising appeals
